It is very important to feel that it’s a dynamic office that thinks very down-to-earth about our specific needs and risks”

Scale-up Eyesee is one of the most promising behavioural research companies today. The company optimizes advertisements and other marketing communications on websites through the analysis of eye movements – so-called eye tracking. Volunteers log into the platform created by Eyesee to look at items, after which the results of their eye movements (and their emotions in the form of facial expressions) are sent to the clients of that platform, so that they can improve their communication. A technique for which investors created an interest resulting in a capital round of three million euros by Smartfin.

“For the legal part of that capital round, we called on Four & Five for the first time and from the very beginning of the process,” says Olivier Tilleuil, CEO of Eyesee Research. “This resulted in an extensive preparation going into the negotiations with third parties. It provided a pleasant degree of comfort and certainty. Today we are still reaching out to Four & Five for legal advice.”

Olivier Tilleuil says that “in the negotiations with Smartfin, Four & Five and especially Toon Michielsen, opted its game by continuously providing a high level of pragmatism and professionalism. A pragmatic coordinator with a sense for business, that is what Four & Five is about. I think it’s very important to feel that it’s a dynamic office that thinks very down-to-earth about our specific needs and risks. By taking the lead in the coordination of the process, Four & Five was able to provide us the necessary transparency concerning ours and everyone else’s to-do’s and guided the ship into a safe harbour”.
